The world has changed. Assuming that your main purpose is getting as much exposure as possible, talking at an online event might be more productive. Eventually, the number of watches and likes when putting the video of your talk on YouTube and having you mentioned on social media as a speaker who took part in a specific conference are the outcomes that matters most. Unlike in-person conferences, you don’t have the travel costs (flights, hotels, etc.).
